Hello,

Thanks for sharing your concern in this forum,

From the symptoms you mentioned I feel that your tooth is grossly carious...means the pulp tissue inside the tooth is infected...so you are getting pain...

First of all you have to go for treatment of that tooth...medicines will give temporary relief...treatment can be root canal treatment or extraction depending on the tooth condition....

Proper x-ray is required for that to see the extent of infection inside the tooth....

Meanwhile you can take pain killers...and take warm salt water rinses 4-5times/day...you will get relief....

Maintain oral hygiene...

Consult with Dentist for treatment...

Get well soon..

Hello,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.

Hole in teeth is due to deep caries.

The infected tooth has to be either root canal treated or restored depending on severity of lesion.

If infection is too deep, get the teeth extracted.

A thorough clinical as well as x-ray evaluation will help to plan the treatment.

If left untreated, the symptoms may recurr and can progress into periapical tissues.

Take care.

Hi there,
Thanks for asking your query

Visit to a dentist again will solve your dilemma.my opinion would be always preserve your tooth and extraction should be the last option. from the above mentioned symptoms you have apical periodontitis. you will be asked to take an x-rays of the affected tooth.they are two possible treatment options root canal treatment or extraction.depending on extent of damage to your teeth ,your dentist will plan for the treatment.

Let me suggest you some home remedies:
1.Practice good oral hygiene with proper tooth brushing techniques and the usage of floss and mouthwash.

2.You can also make your own mouthwash to reduce infections in the mouth.

3.Make regular appointments with your dentist to ensure your mouth stays in a healthy condition.

Hope it helps you

Hi

Thanks for writing in.

In my opinion your tooth has got severe decay resulting in irreversible pulpitis.
Medicines can just give temporary relief while for permanent teeth you need to go for treatment.
As per your symptoms, it requires indirect pulp capping or Root canal treatment.
If clinical condition is poor then it may require extraction.
Consult your dentist for proper examination & treatment plan.

Take Care

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

Hole in the tooth indicates dental caries, pain indicates that the infection is involving the pulpal tissue, such type of infected tooth needs to be RCT treated to save it permanently.

I would suggest you to visit to the Dentist and get the checkup done, take an X-ray of the tooth.

Antiobiotics and analgesics course has to be taken.
Maintain a good oral hygiene.
Avoid food logement in the area by regular gargling.

Hope this helps out,

Regards.

Hello,

The condition you had described seems to be deep proximal caries in your tooth with gingival polyp in the cavitated region.. its good that you are cleaning your infected tooth properly but you need to consult a dentist soon... as your chewing on one side will harm your jaw joints.. your past experiences might be bad but now a days with lots of advancement in technology the dental treatment has become very comfortable too.. the treatment options for your tooth involves- removal of carious lesion , gingival polyp and root canal treatment of the involved tooth .. you can take anti-anxiety medicines prior to dental appointment or can also opt for conscious sedation..dont worry about pain.. your problem will stop as soon as your tooth gets treated..
IOPA radiograph is needed to check for any periapical pathology that requires special treatment like surgery.

Root canal treatment is simple procedure where infected pulp within canals is removed, tooth is cleaned from canals and is refilled till the tip of the root apex..
dont worry.. meanwhile use antiseptic mouthwashes and brush twice daily..
take care..
