Horizontal Testicle, Slight Pain. Torsion?

Hello, about 3 days ago i was laying in bed watching a movie and i noticed my left testicle was horizontal. I tried to move it back and i am pretty sure it was the right day but since then I have a very slight pain every once and a while. I dont know if I'm just freaking myself out and feeling this pain. Neither testicle appears to be swelling but it usually hurts when i think about it. I just want to know if I would know by now if I had a torsion that long ago. Also if it could be like a partial torsion or someting. Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

Torsion testes is a medical emergency and should be diagnosed and treated immediately. You must consult a surgeon and get examined clinically. You might no be having complete torsion but a partial torsion needs to be confirmed by your doctor. A scrotal ultrasound scan and Doppler might be necessary.

The only other possibility is orchitis (infection in testes) and that is treated by a course of antibiotics.

Hope this helps.
