Hot Flashes Even After Lower Dose Of Prempro. Difference Between .3/1.5mg And .45/1.5 Mg?

What is the difference between Prempro: .3/1.5 mg and .45/1.5mg. I am referring to the reason for taking the diff doses. How much of a health diff also. I am 68 yrs. I use to take the higher dose for 25 yrs, but stopped due to cost (no insurance). New doctor is giving lower dose, but I still have some hot flashes. Going for Mammogram in a few weeks.

Hello ma'am.

The higher dose might be required as you are way past your menopause and will experience symptoms of menopause at a higher intensity than otherwise.

There should not be any health issues with such a dose as long as you are well monitored. Please speak to your doctor regarding the same.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
