Hi there, I have had symptoms of HIV infection including a short (2 day raised temperature and sore throat) fever type illness followed by numerous ulcers on my tounge/mouth which will not go away. I have had sexual contact, but nothing unsafe. I am going to be tested tonight - but can you tell me how accurate a tri-dot HIV test at 7 weeks would be? Thanks very much Martin (27, male, UK)
Generaly its to early and tri dot will not show positivity. It is window period. Hivantibodies are developing stage. So if you want to confirm go for p24 antigen test.
