How Accurate Is Duo Test After 11 Days Of Unprotected Blowjob? What Are My Chances Of Having HIV?

Hello doctor
A sexworker gave me an unprotected blowjob some time ago. I had some small cuts on the foreskin of my penis due to a handjob, but not any blood. I got tonsillitis 5 weeks after this experience, but besides that, no symptoms of anything.

I took a antibody quicktest 11 days later, witch was probably too early. The doctor also sent a blood sample to be tested with the 4th gen duo test. It came back negative.

How accurate is this duo-test after 11 days? What are my odds of having HIV?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

11 days after intercourse, its too early to test for HIV.
screening for HIV should be done 1 month after exposure and if negative need to repeat again after 3 months.
Antibody formation needs time to form in our body after exposure to infection.

Tonsillitis after intercourse could be incidental not related to any sexually transmitted disease.

Hope this helps you.

Regards
