I am just trying to remember the specific name of the abdominal hernia my husband was diagnosed with several months ago....mid abdomen....no pain, however when laying flat, he describes it was a football shaped lump he sees at stomach level. It is not inguinal...
ultrasonography is good for diagnosing hernias. alternatively u can can feel by pressing the lump and asking the patient to cough for any impulse on lump. also watch its movement with respiration
