How Can a Lump And Stiffness In The Neck Be Treated?
Ya I am Leticia I suffered from ebv sence 2008 I am worried cause the doctors said I have ra and ebv but I don t k ow where the stiff neck with knots are coming from I am weak and tired some times and I touch my should and it feel like a knot and I have muscle spasms I can t keep my head straight I am tired of it can u please tell me what is wrong
Stiff neck and knot can be two different entities. Stiff neck could be due to spasm of muscles and knots or feeling of lumps could be due to enlargement of the lymph node. Here are the few things you should know:
1) Make sure you don't have other constitutional symptoms like fever or weight loss if yes immediately consult with a doctor.
2) Lymph node enlargement could be due to a secondary infection.
I sincerely advise you to consult a physician and let him examine your nodes and conclude what is the cause of it, it could be a lymph node or a thyroid swelling. If we treat the cause your symptoms will subside in no time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Moses John Wesley,
General & Family Physician
