How Can a Painful Lump In The Throat Be Treated?

Chest pain for the past 6-7 years. Got angiography done 7 yrs ago. Was negative. Pains still continued.feel lump in the throat and left side chest pain most of the day.was diagnosed with hypothyroid but after taking the medicine for a few months stopped the medicine.regular blood tests showed the levels to be under control or slightly high but the endocrinologist said no need for medication. 3 yrs ago had a ct angio done as the chest pain continued. Then started on anti anxiety medicine for the last 1-2 years. Now the pains have increased. Have constant burning and chest pain. Left arm pain. Pain comes on even slight movement . Your suggestion will be appreciated

Hello,

It might be an attack of pharyngitis. Consult a general practitioner and start a short course of antibiotics.

Do warm saline gargles also. If symptoms persist, better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
