General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

This red itchy spot might be caused by allergic dermatitis or by another cause. It might also be herpes zoster (shingles).

You can continue putting cortisone cream and also take Loratadine 10 mg once in the evening for one week.

If you don't improve, start feeling pain, or burning sensation, then you should consult a doctor, for a physical examination and further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
