How Can abdominal Pain Along With Enlarged Prostate Be Treated?
i have been having lower abdominal pain for the last month,, i was hoping it would get better , but hasn,t and it is around the pelvis area. I don,t know if it makes a difference or not but , i also have an enlarged prostate. I wake up with sharp pain and try to urinate and don,t have much urination til the day goes on and urination gets better and pain subsides some but still have pain
BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy) causes outflow obstruction to the urine. So there are back pressure changes in urinary bladder and kidney. So the possibility of cystitis and pyelonephritis are high when the patient is having BPH. And they can cause lower abdominal pain.
So better to consult a urologist and get done ultrasound examination of kidney ureter and bladder. You may need to operate for BPH to relieve the obstruction.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
