How Can an Ovarian Cyst Be Treated?

hello doc,I have a question I have a cyst in my ovary I knew it 2yrs ago and recently I have again an ultra sound and the result was the same in size 2yrs ago. what can you say about it do I have to take it out I am scared and old already ,or let it be there .

Hi,

Cysts are common and mostly benign ie not serious. However its the look on ultrasound that decide if a cyst can be serious one. If simple cyst and no symptoms you can leave it lone.

However, complex cysts should be followed properly. But the fact that your cyst has not increased in size in 2 years is quite reassuring.
