How Can back Pain, Vomiting And Chest Pain Be Treated?
I have back pain, vomiting, mild chess pain that has persisted since last night and through today without any relief. Ate shrimp last night and vomiting started about 2 hours later. Back pain started in the afternoon for no apparent reason. Unable to sleep due to the vomiting which was dry heaves until around 4am when everything came out.
You can take some antihistamines like Cetirizine, loratadine, etc. If it does not work, you may go to the hospital to get an Adrenaline injection. Meanwhile, you can do these tests:
1. Skin Prick test
2. Blood test: RAST
I strongly advise you not to eat seafood. you may seafood allergy and if you do have an allergy in one food, you can have an allergy to many kinds of seafood. For more pain, you can have pain killers.
For vomiting, ondansetron can be taken. Do this test and if the symptoms increase, you have to consult and have a prescription of other drugs like adrenaline injection or corticosteroids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
