How Can diarrhoea Along With Lower Abdominal Pain Be Treated?

I just returned from Costa Rica where several times after eating i suffered severe diaherra. After taking immodium it stopped for a day. It continued to come back several times. i started having cramping in my lower abdomen and low back yesterday. It is fairly persistant and does not go away after going to the bathroom. Bowl movements are more difficult today and i feel nausous after lunch. I am concerned there may be an issue. No i am not pregnant. Any thoughts?

You seem to have contracted traveler's diarrhea. The most common causes are E coli-a bacterium or E hystolytica-an amoeba.
You need Ciprofloxacin and Flagyl but since they are prescription drugs you need to see your GP or Internal Medicine Physician immediately. And don't forget to drink a lot of fluids to avoid dehydration to avoid application of a drip.
All the best.
