How Can ear Pain Along With Bumps On The Face Be Treated?

Hi Dr. for the past four days I began having pain in my mouth on the left side; then I had a sharp pain in the left ear that lasted for two days, then the pain went up to the left side of my head. Now I have a lot of bumps on my face, also the left side and some fever.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

The symptoms appears to be due to SHINGLES that is a viral infection caused by Varicella zoster virus..

It commonly starts with nerve pain and burning in affected area followed by breakout of sores in clusters..

It follows a specific pattern and involves a nerve route..

So my suggestion is to consult a Physician and get evaluated and a Varicella Titre test and examination of cells from the sores can help in confirmation..

In case if Shingles is confirmed then you can be advised a course of antiviral medication along with topical antiviral and numbing gels and anti-depressant medications to relieve pain..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
