Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can high Blood Pressure Along With Headache Be Treated?
My blood pressure keeps rising, there is no related stress. Currently it is 157/105 and I ve had headache twice today, still present. I already take 30mg of lancandicipine and 20mg lisinopril in a morning and the doctor gave me another 10mg to take at tea time. What should I do?
I would suggest continue taking the medicine for now, consult with your doctor if increase in dose or adding another drug like a diuretic is needed. I would also recommend some tests like- -Ultrasound of abdomen and Renal doppler to rule out any kidney related cause for you hypertension like renal artery stenosis -24hr urinary VMA or Blood catecholamines to rule out a condition called Pheochromocytoma -MRI brain to look for any central pathology.
