How Can lower Abdominal Bloating Along With Rectal Bleeding Be Treated?
I have had some rectal bleeding that has increased over the last week. I had a colonoscopy 2 years ago that came out fine but the doctor did mention a large varicose vein which I suspect is the source of the bleeding now. I also feel bloated with some cramping in my lower abdomen. Nothing i haven t felt before. Is there a procedure that can stop close the vein to stop further bleeding. I m a little reluctant to use the bathroom now when I have the urge.
Hello, Thank you for your query. Yes, these bleeding veins are called hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoidectomy is the best way to stop this bleeding and relieve pain.
*do you smoke or consume alcohol? *do you have any other medical issues or take any medications?
Take a soft diet with natural fiber and drink plenty of water. Avoid straining and don't resist the urge as it can result in bloating and constipation which can worsen the bleeding and pain.
See your doctor as soon as possible. You might be anemia which can cause strain on the heart. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Wish you good health
