Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
had testicular pain for about 1 month and went to a doctor who told me it's caused by epididymitis. It's uncomfortable for me to sit for a long time because of the swelling and tender testicle. Except the pain, I also had to urinate frequently during the day. It's really embarrassed to have an urinary urgency at public places. I'd tried several antibiotics but none helped. I also tried herbal remedies. The one that helped me get rid of the infection was called diuretic anti-inflammatory pill. I was so happy to know I was cured completely.
Hello, Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic! I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns. Most cases of epididymitis can be managed effectively with conservative measures. You have to do an ultrasound with doppler to know the size and extend of the lesion. As a first line therapy you can go for antibiotics and analgesics (pain killers). Azithromycin is quite effective for epididymitis. If symptoms persist despite all these you might require minor surgical procedure. Complete cure is possible in majority of the cases. Consult an experienced urologist,he might explain various treatment options. Regards. Dr.Shinas Hussain
