How Can severe Mild Diverticulitis Be Treated?

My question is that I am having some trouble with mild diverticulitis. I have had a sigmoidectomy in 2012. I know the symptoms pretty well and have cipro here 500 mg twice acday enough for 5 days. Can this still be ok. They were from 2015 on bottle? Thank you.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would depend on the expiration date of the medication. For some medication, the expiration date can be years away from the time the medication is given but it is usually written on the bottle or container.

If it is not clearly indicated then there would be no way of knowing if the medication has long passed it expiration date. IN that case, it would be best not to use it and get an alternative medication.

If it has not expired, then they can be used.

I hope this helps
