How Can severe Schizophrenia Be Treated?
I have a grandson who is said to have schizophrenia.....is it possible that adding choline to his diet might have a benefic ial effect? HE IS now 26 years old......we need hope......he lives in the san francisco bay area, is there someplace that may give him so relief from this terrible problem? jmo

Hi. Thanks for your concern. If he has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia it is beneficial that he should be started on an antipsychotic. Untreated psychosis does have negative effects on your body for example cognition, and then also impacts your functioning. Early intervention can be very beneficial. If he is very psychotic and aggressive etc, it might be better to get him admitted for treatment and stabilization
