You ned either topical antiherpetic creams or systemic therapy with aciclovir or ganciclovir. If this is so painful then you need this therapy in my opinion. ALso, you need to avoid intercourse till symptoms persist and your partner should be treated s well. FOr pain, you can use nonsteroid painkillers or topical antiflogistics such as voltaren.
