How Can severe Shingles On The Shoulder Blade Be Treated?
Yes, Thanks ! I read online about my second time occurred around the shoulder blade. The first one I had disappeared, lasted for 2month. After 2 month later I have another one with severe nerve pain and 3 small dot of rash. The first one also I had 3 small dot of rash. I read about that people have shingle should wait one year getting the vaccine. I want to know whether I have to wait. Rash is so few small spot the nerve pain come and go and when it flares up, it s very painful. Please let me know when I need to get the vaccine so there won t be any 3rd time occur to different area. Thanks, Jenny
Your 1st priority should be to prevent local pain after herpes, we call it post-herpetic neuralgia, The medicine for the same is prescription medicine- carbamazepine. Can only be prescribed by your doctor. Please take an appointment for the same. You do not require vaccination as such. However, vaccination after 1 yr may help you from few other subtypes of herpes/shingles. Thanks. Dr.
