General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am sorry for the painful situation you are going through.

Unfortunately, working out with weights and going floor work can result to work-overload for the muscles of the spine/upper back/shoulder blade.

Possibly, you've experienced pulled muscles (sprain). Continue with icing for a couple of days. Then, alternating cold and warm compresses.

Apply analgesic cream locally. Take oral pain killers.
Try to avoid over-moving. But, keep on doing simple movements/exercises for the shoulder blade and upper back.

If no improvement, should consult with an orthopedic specialist to rule out more serious issues.

Wish fast recovery.
