Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I have read your question fully and understand your concerns.
From what you have mentioned, I think you are having
chronic sinusitis. The
bad breath is coming due to infection of your
sinuses. Lots and lots of micro-organisms have multiplied in your sinus lining and they have replaced the good bacteria present there. This is causing your sinus lining to get inflamed, and to produce more mucous. This increased mucous secretion is causing you the pressure in the face and head and bad bacteria are causing the foul smell.
As it has been going on for 2 months, you could take a course of antibiotics. You could take Doxycycline 200 mg once a day on 1st day and 100 mg once a day from 2nd to 7th day (provided you are not allergic to it and do not have
Myasthenia gravis where it is contraindicated). You could also try
Amoxicillin 500 mg three times a day for 1 week instead of doxycycline (hope you are not allergic to penicillin). The antibiotic course can get rid of the infection, thus the pressure symptoms would settle. Steam inhaaltion can relieve your pressure symptoms too.
Regarding the bad smell, it should settle once your infection subsides. Brushing your teeth twice a day, gargling your mouth using salt water, steam inhalation and
chlorhexidine mouth wash also can help.
I wish you a speedy recovery.
I hope this answer has helped you.
Thank you
Regards
