Dry cough without sputum Or
fever seems to be allergic in nature.
Your treatment is having temporary control on
allergy & pain.. there is also possibility of insufficient dose ( decided by doctor depending on age, gravity of symptoms & weight of patient.
Also long standing allergy also brings about increase in certain blood cells( Eosinophils ).. & these cells need to be lowered for controlling long time dry cough.
Other causes of increase in Eosinophils (
eczema, worm infestation )need to be evaluated for & treated accordingly.& infection also needs to be excluded.
So you should better consult a pediatrician/ chest physician for proper evaluation & cause specific treatment.
* Let her continue with the drugs. Avoid
cold, oily & spicy food/ avoid exposure to dust, fumes, smoke. Let her do hot saline gargles .. till she sees the doctor.
