Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello, my 12 year old son has been struggling with ADHD for several years. He has trouble concentrating at school. We have him medicated and for years have been trying to find the right medication to help him. I am still not sure if it is helping. He is currently on Dexmethyphenidate ER. He started at 20 and is now up to 30mg. We found something to help him concentrate a little better at school, but he still need an IEP. However I have noticed in the past 2 years he has severe memory loss. In addition to this He has alway had excessive talking and interrupting conversations and is incapable to complete simple task at home. What I would like to find out is this the medication or the condition or just him being a child? What other things should I look into?
