Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 47 year old daughter has been diagnosed with Clark s level III melanoma and will be having a re-excision in a few days. She has other spots that might be biopsied as well. She is fairskinned, and did have a few significant sunburns as a teen. Are there questions she might ask the MD to direct her course of treatment?
Surgery is the mainstay of melanoma treatment. If there is suspicious lesion, it has to be biopsied. As she is fair skinned and grade 3, she has got all the chances for recurrence.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
