Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with a DVT 3 months ago. It goes from the back of my left knee to the bottom of my calf. I have been on Xarelto for 2 1/2 months and the Dr says all I need is 3 months worth meds. My Nutritionist has me on Omega 3, Magnesium, Selenium and Nattokinase for a year. Questions: 1. Is 3 months of Xarelto enough for clot protocol? I m hoping for complete dissolvement of clot. 2. I have a sauna at home, is it safe to use? 3. I have a massage chair at home, is it safe to use? 4. Threadmill? 5. BowFlex Max Trainer? 6. Stationary bike? 7. Weight lifting? I know these are a lot of questions, but any (close to accurate) information would be greatly appreciated.
In most cases 3 months of anti-coagulation is enough.
Some patients may require more depending on their medical history.
For example, patients who develop DVT due to a malignancy will require lifelong anti-coagulation.
Patients without any risk factor for future thrombosis may stop anticoagulation after 3 months of treatment. Regarding the rest of your questions the answer is yes for each of them. You can do whatever you want. The cloth should be stable now.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Panagiotis Zografakis,
