Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

The best medications to use in GERD are called PPI and Omeprazole is one of the medications in this class. You can take it daily and also follow the diet with frequent small meals during the day, the last meal not later than 3 hours before bed time, avoiding spicy and fried food (junk or fast food), avoid alcohol, coffee and smoking, etc. If the feeling that something is stuck in your throat does not go away in 2-3 weeks of using this treatment you will need to have a GE endoscopy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards
