Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was recently diagnosed with hsv-1 through routine screening. As far as i know i it can be either oral or genital as i have not had any cold sores on my mouth or genitals that i know of. I really have no idea. it was an igg test i guess. anyway. everything else came back negative aside from that. Just in the past few months I have been experiencing random bouts of vaginal itching (around the vulva not actually in my vagina), pain during sex (sometimes) and when i wipe upward i see a pasty white stuff on my clit area. This happens occasionally not always. I am wondering if you have any ideas. since it is not a yeast infection. my vaginal ph was four. bv was negative along with everything else. I am just confused and looking for an idea or reassurance. the doctor didnt really say anything about my itching or anything when she did the pap and such. not even after they called to tell me i have hsv-1. they just said everything else was negaitve and no abnormal cells and sent me on my way.
