How Can Meniere S Disease And BPPV Be Treated?

I have been diagnosed with both Meniere s first and BPPV later on. In the past I have been able to detect which is occurring. For Meniere s I take Clariton in the morning and meclazine at night. For the BPPV I use the Epley method. Lately I cannot tell and this morning my ear seemed plugged. I took both drugs this this morning as my doctor has said in the past was OK. I am thinking I should look at doing the Epley method but I am not sure. It seems all in my right ear which before indicated BPPV. Any suggestion on doing the Epley or not?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

BPPV is different from Meniers and you have to continue eppley manoeuvre. BPPV occurres due to compression of your balancing apparatus with debris in the inner ear and it will corrected by Eppleys. Meniers is due to inherent problems. You have to continued both.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
