How Can PCOD And Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Be Treated?
Hello dr, I just want to get some information. I am having pcod when I was 14. I had bad acne. I was having periods every 40 days with heavy bleeding. I had diagnosis of pcod when I was 21 becuase I had one month of continuous spotting. I am on Diane 35 from that time. I always take it as I am scared of having acne and oily skin again. I am already underweight. My wt is 43 and ht is 5 2 . Now I am getting migraine alot . I am getting married in this December so I haven t told this to my fiancee yet. I am afraid of pregnancy problem. Can you please tell What I can do or use another drug. I will be thankful to you.
Thanks for putting your query over here. From all the scenario you have mentioned,I feel you have not done a proper follow up from your gynaecologist for PCOD.One thing I would like to ask you whether you were taking Diane pill without consulting doctor for such a long period? It contains estrogen and it can be a cause of your excaberating migraine.Presently, what is the status of your PCOD or any other gynaecological problem can be assessed only by doing USG and certain blood investigations.Heavy menstrual bleeding can also be due to some other cause like fibroids. You need to visit a gynaecologist for that.Dont take any medication by yourself. Thanks and regards.
