How Can PCOS Be Treated?

Hello. I am 23 years old. I have poly cystic ovarian syndrome. One 10 month old baby right now. My cycles are always off but I am never earlier than 35 days to get my period. My last period was on Nov 29 so I am not suppose to get it yet. For the last 3 days I have had light bleeding on and off like spotting. But I am not sure if this is due to implantation bleeding or not. I would only be 2 weeks 5 days if I was pregnant right now. When should I test?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Go for a urine pregnancy test, most probably you are pregnant.

What is your weight? Obesity is the major cause of Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

If you are overweight, then go for weight reduction.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Somaiya Sultana
