How Can PTSD And Anxiety Be Treated?

Hi yes. I have ptsd from being sexually abused by my brother at a young age and I am prescribed 1 mg klonopin twice daily and an antidepressant. None seems to be working for me and the klonipin sometimes doesn t just not help but makes my anxiety worse. I think I suffer from adult adhd.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there, apart from medicines, behavioral changes are also important for treatment of anxiety. Exercising, having a hobby, socializing are a few of the activities that can help you fight your stress and anxiety.

As far as medicines are concerned, I would advice consulting with your Psychiatrist to change the drug or alter dosage to control your symptoms.
It is generally not recommended to change Psychiatry medicines on your own, without a doctor's consultation.

Hope you feel better soon, thank you.
