Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Peyronie S Disease Be Treated Through Surgery?
I have ed and a touch of peyronies disease. basically plaque and scar tissue have clogged my penile arteries to the point blood will not enter my penis. I have tried Viagra, and ciallis with testerone shots without any benefit. Have tried direct injections into the penis and they kelp very little. I am looking for a method that will surgically remove the plack in critical areas.
Peyronie's disease is a penis problem caused by scar tissue, called plaque, that forms inside the penis.
It can result in a bent, rather than straight, erect penis. Most men with Peyronie's disease can still have sex. But for some, it can be painful and cause erectile dysfunction.
The surgical procedure include Nesbit Procedure, Plaque Incision and Grafting and penile prosthesis. Please consult your surgeon and get advice on this aspect. do not self treat as it may be dangerous.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr K. V. Anand, Psychologist
