How Can RMSF Be Treated?

I was diagnosed with RMSF and didn t receive tx,I m,a nurse do not like sickness im,also age 75 and volunteer and was active,my life is progressively worsen the mucle and joint pain like I, suddenly can t function;I,was sent to infectious dz doctor but he is too busy too see me, I,have great insurance and need help now,please!

Hi, RMSF is a rickettsial disease caused by bite by a tick.It responds well to the Tetracycline group of Antibiotics. I suggest that you take a course of Cap Doxycycline 100mg twice a day uptil 3 days of remaining symptom free.You can take Paracetamol 1000mg twice a day.Keep yourself rehydrated.Hope you find this useful till you see your Doctor.
