How Can UTI And Painful Urination Be Treated?

My wife has a bladder infection, she went to an urgent care @2:30 pm and was prescribed Cipro. Since she has returned home, she is now passing blood droplets when she urinates with pain at the end urination, this started about 5:30 pm. Should she keep with the Cipro or go to the ER.

Hello,

Droplets of blood are due to UTI (Urinay Tract Infection). She might have been passing small stones too. Keep taking Cipro and drink plenty of fluids especially plain water.

Cranberry and fern plant supplements can help. Advise to take Ponstan or Spasmex medicine for the pain. If unbearable, send to ER (Emergency Room).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini
