Gd morning doctor, my wife is on 20 weeks 2 days.. She have urine and vaginal infection. We have our urine culture report which shows no growth. Our doctor prescribed to take 2 table spoon of alkasol syrup daily 3 times for one week. Sir my question is is it safe to consume alkasol syrup at this stage?
Hi, I think she can take alkasol syrup. It is safe in pregnancy. Tell her to drink around 3 to 4 litres of water per day. For vaginal infection, if she is having excess white discharge and itching, she can take some vaginal pessary of antibiotics and antifungal drugs. Ask your doctor regarding this.
