Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 6 month old granddaughter had a uti , it was treated but followed with ultrasound which should and enlarged ureter. now we are being referred to urology, the only thing the pediatrician said was it could be treated with antiobiotic or surgery. I somewhat alarmed at the blank statement abd my daughter is terrified, what could be the reason behind this hello
dear thanks for writing to hcm As per the description there must be a structure or a valve defect(vesico ureteric junction), leading to a hydroureter. Apart from the infective cause we must rule out any structural abnormality as well. Please take care of baby diapers as they are a major source of infection. hope this helps
