How Can Unisom Be Removed From An Infant S System?

I found my 8 month old with a wet unisom (25 mg) in his hand. I scooped his mouth and found nothing, also made him throw up. I saw no blue residue, just saliva and milk. It s his normal nap time, so I gave him a bottle and I m watching him closely.... breathing, motions, etc seem normal. Does this require close monitoring or ER? THANK YOU!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you found your 8 month old baby with a wet unisom, then, most probably, he might have only licking it and not ingested. So, there is nothing to get worried more than you are nor to go to ER for this time. Just watch him over for any unusual symptom, however, I'm sure he hasn't ingested and nothing bad will happen. Give plenty of water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
