My sister swallowed salmon fish bone two weeks ago. Two ENT doctors can’t find it. On the 7th day, the third ENT found it but can’t remove it in the office. The bone was stuck at the bottom of throat on the right side of the neck. She was asked to have a whole body anesthesia surgery on the 9th day in the surgical center. But on the surgery day, the ENT can’t find the salmon bone and he still dig her throat and can’t find it. But my sister still felt the bone was still inside of the throat but inside the meat. After the surgery, she took MRI and X Ray and showed no detection of bone. She’s still very anxious and scared about the bone. My questions are as following. 1. Are MRI and X Ray are reliable to find salmon bone ? Does she need to take CT? 2. If the bone still stuck inside of her throat, what’s the methods to take the bone out? 3. How to tell the bone is still inside of her throat, waiting for the infection? 4. How do we know that the bone dropped to her stomach?
