How Can A Bruised Lump On The Cheek Be Treated?

I had an abscess on my cheek. My Dr opened it and put me on antibiotics. To my knowledge, the infection is gone, because it no longer hurts, but there is still a hard lump that is purplish in color. When will this go away? I ve been on the antibiotics for 9 of 14 days now.

Hi...
Can understand your question....
As per your query about a bruised lump on cheek which was an abcess and .,hard lump is due to cavity of abcess in which pus was there .Hard lump will slowly resolve with antibiotics and antiinflammatory medications you are taking in 5-7 days..you need not to worry..
In case it doesn't seem to resolving again consult your doctor for an examination and an xray will be needed to evaluate.
Hope this information helps.Take care.
