How Can A Bunion On The Foot Be Treated?

Hi Doc, Recently had two episodes of feeling of a pebble under my foot near 5th metatarsal joint, then noticed significant bruising on dorsal and anterior surface in the area. I have a very small bunion forming in the area. Could this be compressing a blood vessel and causing rupture? Is surgery the ONLY option here?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Surgical correction is the best possible option for you. Consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
