Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have a pretty decent (what I perceive to be) second degree burn. its red, blistery and was swollen when it happened but now it just stings a bit and is peeling everywhere. it doesnt even really hurt, but people around me seem to be upset and keep telling me to go to the doctor. Im applying square gauze with medical tape and Neosporin to the site - making sure to take care of it. is a doctor really necessary? I really dont like going if I can help it, but Im concerned about if an infection gets in there since i know burns are prone to them and the people around me getting upset is making me paranoid.
