How Can A Carotid Artery Aneurysm Be Treated?

Hello my Dr. just told m that I have an aneurysm in my Coratoid Artery. What can I do to unblock or reverse it? It’s within normal ranges so far but I don’t want to have it at all. It’s been 6 months & there is no change in its size which h said it was good.

Hello,

Carotid artery aneurysm is not a reversible condition. Neither any medication or diet helps you reverse the process. An aneurysm can be due to varied etiology and it gets difficult to find it out also. The only thing which can be done is aneurysmal repair which is a major procedure but since you say there is no indication for surgery then it's better to leave it rather than worrying about that. I don't know why you have been worried this much. You should be in fact happy that you don't have any problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
