dear sir im 30 year old and my husband is 35. in the last month a saw a spotting through my vagina. i consulted my gynecologist and she said there is a ulcer in the mouth of uterus. have done pap smear which is normal. what is the treatment of these ulcers. plse guide. i m a mother of 4 yr old child.
As per my clinical experience, majority of the cases of cervical ulcer are infection related.
Proper care with antibiotics as per the vaginal swab, care of local part with gentian violet sitz bath and local applications of creams, prophylactic or curative anti fungal medicines are main course of therapy.
In selected cases only, cervical cauterization is needed to control in refractory cases.
