How Can A Chalazion With A Red Bump Be Treated?

Hello. I have a small chalazion for 3 months now. Last week i saw an eye plastic surgeon he drained it. My eyelid was swollen for a week now and it looks like the swelling went down as days went by but the bump is still alittle red and still remind the same after the drainage. What should i do? I been doing warm compress and applying on inflammatory ointment he prescribed me.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might have re-accumulated. You have to drain the swelling again. This time can do it by simple puncture rather than incision. Consult an ophthalmologist or plastic surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
