How Can A Collapsed Lung Be Treated?

My dad has a collapsed lung with a mass somewhere. They did a brochialscope today and took tissue of the mass. He has a past history of colon cancer, lyphoma of the spleen, and now lyphoma of the lung. My question with treatment, do you think that the lung will get better and that my dad can have a health life? My dad is up in age, 74 yoa.

Lung metastases in any cancer is said to have poor prognosis.
Chemotherapy cycles is the treatment of choice for lung metastases.
Usual life expectancy in such cases is less than 2 years.
