How Can A Dog Bite Be Treated?

Hi doctor i get bitten by stray dog 3years ago and at first time bitten by stray dog bite i get fully and completed my rabies vaccination and now i am get bitten by another stray dog Do i need to again vaccinated and and how much doses will be required plz tell me During second stray dog bite i get vaccinated late after 18 hrs will there is any risk of getting infected plz telll me worried.

Hello,

If you had a full series of rabies vaccination the first time, you very likely need this time only two doses of rabies vaccine: one on day 1 and one on day 3 after the bite. Having the vaccine after 18 hours still falls within the first day so there is nothing to worry.
You will need good wound care and there is no need for the immunoglobuline this time if you have had the full series of vaccination the first time.
