How Can A Dog Bite Be Treated?

Hi, First of all i would like to thank for giving valuable services through web media. Today morning i was bitten by a dog while going to office. It was minor bite on my leg. Is it necessary to take vaccine dose as this is minor. Or else i should take Full doses(0,3,14,21 & 28) of vaccine. Where it s better to take vaccine, i mean in GOVERNMENT Hospitals or else Private is okay. Is there any food restrictions, if else let me know what s need not to be taken.

Hi,

Taking anti-rabies vaccine following dog bite irrespective of major or minor is recommended and mandatory.

You can take the vaccine in any medical set-up as per your convenience. There are no food restrictions in such instances.

However, kindly take anti-septic measures so that the local wound doesn't get infected.
