How Can A Dog Bite Be Treated?

Our daughter was bit by a dog. Went to quick clinic and they washed it, glued it shut but today it is very swollen as well as not being able to move the wrist. Could there be nerve damage and will heal in time. Bruised. Yes, punctured skin on top and bottom.

Hello,
Welcom to Healthcaremagic.com.
There can be two reasons for the swelling ;
1. Either there is fracture among any of the rest bone or
2. Swelling is because of inflammation that seems to me the important one.
You need to go for a wrist x- ray and evalvated for the any hair line fracture.
Also anti rabies vaccination is must in case of dog bite.
There are least chances of nerve injury and even if it is there it will heal of its own.
Hope the answer of your question and you can also come back to us for any further opinion.
